For the world premiere Yosemite Can O Peaches Radio Podcast, John P. DeGrazio interviewed Les Marsden, the Founder and Conductor for the Mariposa Symphony Orchestra under the booming Yosemite Falls. Les is a retired actor who now brings his musical gifts to the world via Yosemite National Park. They discussed the gift Les shared with the world, his symphonic masterpiece, “Our Nation’s Nature”, on a summer evening at Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park in 2016. Les also shared his love and devotion to Yosemite as well as his favorite swimming holes in the interview.

Here is a little more background on “Our Nation’s Nature” from Les Marsden.

“It’s an honor to be the premiere guest on this great new show! And it may be helpful for listeners to understand what “Our Nation’s Nature” is all about. The concept for the Yosemite Can O Peaches Radio Podcast was developed over the past several years. Each show will be recorded live from the trails of Yosemite National Park. Host John P. DeGrazio will share stories of Yosemite from local artists, musicians, photographers, explorers, and a variety of other Yosemite experts with a tale to tell.  The peaches represent the sweet reward of every exploration in nature. Special thanks to Thomas Wilmer for his kind generosity and mentorship. Tom also recorded the Outro for this show.
